Filbau at the First SolarTAP Industry Network General Assembly

Karlsruhe, 7th October 2024
As a new member of the SolarTAP Industry Network, Filbau had the privilege of participating in the First SolarTAP Industry Network General Assembly, held at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) last week. This event marked an exciting milestone for the SolarTAP community, bringing together key industry leaders to discuss the future of photovoltaics, share insights, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The assembly featured stimulating discussions on emerging solar technologies, accelerating the photovoltaic value chain, and creating roadmaps for the future of solar innovation. It was an excellent opportunity to engage with professionals such as Hauch Jens, Uli Lemmer, Alexander Colsmann, Christoph Kreisbeck, Carolin Zachaeus, Fevzi Bayrak, Henning Richter, Eva Unger, Jan Kittl, Bryce Richards, and Christoph Josef Brabec. The exchange of ideas focused on how to push forward innovation and technology transfer within the photovoltaics industry.

Filbau’s participation in the assembly is closely linked to our involvement in the Horizon Europe SMARTLINE-PV project. As part of this project, we are working to create synergies with other relevant projects, initiatives, and networks, both within Europe and globally. The event provided an excellent platform to increase visibility and foster collaborations that support the objectives of SMARTLINE-PV, such as accelerating technology development and ensuring the effective transfer of research outcomes to industry.

Dr. Hauch Jens, SolarTAP Manager, also shared valuable insights into the acceleration programs offered by SolarTAP. He explained how members can benefit from the network’s infrastructure, standardized proposals, model contracts, and expert personnel to accelerate their projects and achieve significant progress quickly.

The event concluded with a fascinating laboratory tour at KIT, where participants had the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art research facilities and gain a deeper understanding of the infrastructure available to SolarTAP members.

Filbau is excited to continue its journey within the SolarTAP network and contribute to the development of the next generation of solar technologies. Our participation in this network supports our ongoing commitment to advancing solar innovation, in line with the objectives of the SMARTLINE-PV project. We look forward to further collaborations and the opportunity to shape a sustainable future for photovoltaics.
